Welcome to the Kitchen

Born and raised in the lovely Southwestern United states, I love the desert in all of its myriad forms.  My life has been a series of happy accidents leading to great things. I’ve worked as a construction project manager, an executive assistant, a contract specialist, and a negotiator.  One word that would describe me is the Japanese word of Kintsugi (the Japanese art of repairing broken objects with a priceless metal).  I’ve been described this way by everyone I have ever worked with because my super power is finding the solution to the problem before it becomes a problem. 
I am a lifelong animal lover and take any opportunity to promote “adopt don’t shop” in every conversation and can talk about animals with anyone.  My passions include photography, travel, yoga, and history.  And, after recently enrolling in a plant-based culinary program, plant-based cooking has become a passion.
